LOW CALORIE – HIGH PROTEIN ICE CREAM.

Low calorie. High protein. Ice Cream.

Does it get any better than that?!?

There was a sale and I was not going to miss out.

You’ve probably seen this ice cream getting a lot of hype recently and I had to give it a try.

I took a while getting around to trying Halo Top because I thought it was a tad pricey and that I could probably live without it. I was wrong.

Depending on the flavor, pints range between 200 and 400 calories. I’ve been having half a pint for dessert which puts me around 200 calories or less.

Does it taste just as fulfilling as Ben & Jerry’s or a full fat ice cream? Probably not. But it is so incredibly close to being that fulfilling that it is worth it? Yes.

The calorie difference comes mostly from the fact that it is skim milk and the pint weighs about half as much as a regular pint of ice cream. So it is a little more airy than regular ice cream, but I promise you won’t really care.

Here’s a run down of the flavors I’ve tried and my rating of them on a 1-10 scale:

  • S’mores: 9
  • Red Velvet: 8
  • Sea Salt Caramel: 9.5
  • Birthday Cake:8
  • Cookie Dough: 8
  • Pistacchio: 9
  • Peanut Butter Cup: 6

If you are are dying to know how another flavor tastes, I suppose I could take it for the team and test it out πŸ™‚ Let me know in the comments what flavor you love or want to try!
